This version allows for approximately 20 degrees of rotation (pivot) for the violin. For example, the violin can move from being held to the side, to pivoting toward the center of the body, while the Forma-Rest stays held to your shoulder.
The weight with the feet is 112 grams. We offer three different foot options. The silicon nonslip foot features a suction cup which provides the most grip to the violin (without hurting the finish). The Black and Tan foot options are similar in grip performance.
The Forma-Rest comes preformed as shown in the photos. Neoprene is used for its durability and comfort. This version comes with two small hex wrenches which can be used to snug up the pivoting feature should it ever loosen.
Threaded holes are provided for the foot placement to accommodate 3/4 size to oversize Maggini model violins. Foot placement can be used to shift the violin into slightly different positions as desired.
